In exploring what a self-portrait means to me, I began casting masks of my own face—despite my fear of masks. Each mask is imperfect, distinct, yet all speak to me, revealing what is visible and what remains unseen. The importance lies in the process itself: seeing what resists to be seen, surfacing what needs to be revealed. This process too becomes, in itself, part of the artwork.
